  SB 6:  ANNUITY PROGRAM AMENDMENTS

  REPRESENTATIVE CON BUNDE joined the committee at the table,                  
  representing his constituents.  He stated his constituents                   
  were not interested in a need based program, saying it would                 
  become "senior welfare."  He also stated their opposition to                 
  SB 6, which would establish an annuity for seniors.  He said                 
  many voters did not want the bill because it would                           
  discriminate against those who would not be able to place                    
  their permanent fund check into the annuity.
